‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that the CBS soap may be laying the groundwork for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to get back together.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nikki and Jack Were Married a Couple of Times
Longtime viewers may recall that Nikki and Jack were married from 1990 to 1994, and again for a brief period in 2012.
During Nikki and Jack’s first marriage, Nikki miscarried two of Jack’s children. The first time, Nikki was involved in a horse riding accident, which led to the death of their baby boy.
Her first miscarriage led to a debilitating (Y&R) depression, a pain pill addiction, and alcoholism for Nikki. She’s since recovered, but not without several relapses.
The second child was another son, whom they named John Abbott III, who died after a tragic accident in which she fell down the stairs after an altercation with Victor Newman(Eric Braden).
The second loss, in particular, increased Jack’s hatred of Victor. Victor recently lost his empire and kidnapped Jack to barter with the Abbotts: Jack’s safety in exchange for Chancellor.
Now, Nikki is furious with Victor for kidnapping Jack and putting him on a yacht. Nikki ripped into Victor, so he kicked Nikki out of the Newman Ranch.
Victor doesn’t appreciate Nikki’s bond with Jack, which has continued years after they were last married. He thinks she wants to be with him, and, as usual, the Mustache’s ego prevents him from seeing the truth.

During another bout with her alcoholism, Jack got Nikki to sober up when Victor couldn’t. Jack spent the night with Nikki at the GCAC, and he purchased some pain pills.
He nearly overdosed to make a point to Nikki. After that night, Nikki was determined to get sober and stay that way.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nikki Doesn’t Know About Patty Yet
Currently, Nikki doesn’t know about the extent of Victor’s stunt, as he put Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) on the ship with Victor to get him to stray from his wife, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).
It turns out that Jack slept with Patty, but apparently, they were drugged. Jack thinks it was ecstasy due to the extreme euphoria he felt, which he claims prompted him to hook up with Patty.

Diane doesn’t care that Jack was manipulated, and we can’t say we blame her. She told Jack that ecstasy isn’t mind control and slapped him across the face. After the Abbotts brought Jack home, Diane moved out.
If anyone would understand what substances can do to the mind, it’s Nikki. Nikki has been down that road on several occasions and would definitely understand Jack’s predicament.
Now, both Nikki and Diane have checked into the GCAC. They are bound to run into each other and end up in a confrontation.
Nikki and Jack have a long history together, and she won’t hesitate to defend him. We can see this ordeal bringing Nikki and Jack closer, potentially leading up to a reunion.
Not to mention, Nikki and Jack’s marriages are both severely damaged at this point. The pair have been through a lot together, and it would be easy for them to turn to each other now.
Regardless, we all know Nikki will go running back together with Victor in the end. That said, if anyone deserves to be miserable and alone, it’s Victor Newman.
