‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) marriage may suffer irreparable damage when Kyle learns that Summer has been hiding the truth from him.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Mother Trouble
Summer has just recently discovered that her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is not dead. She is alive and in hiding. Phyllis worked with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to fake her death and frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for the murder.
When Phyllis decided, after the fact, that it would be too hard to give up her children and start a new life somewhere with a new identify, Stark got angry.
He did not want to be held responsible on his own for this scheme. He was an ex-felon and knew that everyone was aching to put him away for something.
Stark decides to attack Phyllis and take her out for good. After all, everyone thinks she is dead so her really dying won’t make a difference. Then he will also be “safe”. There won’t be anyone to testify against him.
Stark doesn’t bank on Phyllis being so feisty and when he goes to kill her, she turns the tables on him and takes him out. She dumps the body and then goes into hiding.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hiding the Truth
Phyllis risks it all and meets up with Summer. She tells Summer everything and asks her to keep it under wraps until Phyllis can figure out how to return without heading to jail. Summer doesn’t want to lose her mother to prison. That is unconscionable and she won’t lose her mother a second time.
The problem is, she is keeping this from the love of her life, Kyle. He is in pain, knowing his mother is going to be charged for a murder that he is sure she didn’t commit. He doesn’t believe his mother is capable of murdering Phyllis and he would be right. But he is not able to prove it. The situation is even worse now that Stark has been found murdered.
Summer can’t bring herself to tell Kyle. But he is bound to find out about this sooner or later. When he finally does, what will his response be? Will he be able to forgive Summer for how she willfully hurt him?
She isn’t trusting him to help her find a way out for both of their mothers. She is choosing to bring pain to Kyle by not helping exonerate his mother. Will he be able to find any love in his heart for her when he finds that out? What do you think? Share your thoughts below!
