‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) are going to have their hands full. Their mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has a goal in mind and she is not going to easily be deterred.
Even though her children have told her clearly to knock it off, it is has always been the case of Phyllis knows best. How are they going to stop her?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Making a Mess
When Phyllis tries to intervene (or interfere), she tends to make a mess of things. Both of them have had this experience with her. When Daniel was trying to get his company off the ground, Phyllis went behind his back to try to secure interested investors. He needed to handle it on his own, but Phyllis couldn’t let it go.
Instead of putting her hatred for Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) to the side in the interest of her daughter Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) marriage to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Phyllis kept trying to influence her daughter’s perspective on Diane.
The biggest mess that Phyllis has made for her children was faking her death and trying to pin it on Diane.
This caused major problems for both of them when they found that she wasn’t really dead. It actually destroyed Kyle and Summer’s marriage, because Summer kept the truth from Kyle. She did that to protect her mother, but Kyle felt truly betrayed.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Trying Again
Phyllis just can’t stop. She wants to try to help Summer get her marriage back. Summer is ready to go to on with her life. She feels confident and purposeful, and she doesn’t want to fight for her marriage anymore. She knows that Kyle has moved on and doesn’t plan to forgive her. Summer wants her mother to back off.
Phyllis also wants to try to help Daniel restore his relationship with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom). Daniel has moved on with Lily Winters (Christel Kahlil) and isn’t interested in getting together with Heather again.
Heather is thinking about moving to Genoa City but not with the intention of winning Daniel back. But Phyllis obviously thinks that it is a better match and wants to try to hook them up again.
Daniel and Summer both believe that they are in trouble. How will they get their mother to get off their backs? When will she leave them alone?
