‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that something strange is up with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). If you follow the Newmans, you know that Victor’s mantra is “family, family, family…” So, what is up with his concern for Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Are we going to learn that she is family?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Family Mess
While Y&R’s Victor says that family is the most important thing to him, perhaps that’s not quite accurate. As a cut-throat businessman, Newman Enterprises comes first and then his family.
Victor has put Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) at the helm of Newman Enterprises. She is savvy and brutal like her father. Her goal is the success of the company, and nothing will stand in her way.
Interestingly enough, her father did not fight her when she made the decision to forcibly oust her brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) from his position as COO of Newman Enterprises.
She gave her boyfriend, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) the position. She moved his number two, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), into Nate’s former role of CEO of Newman Media.
Victor expressed his concern with this move, but he didn’t make his daughter give up her idea. He doesn’t trust Nate, but he allowed his daughter to promote him. He did not put Nick first over Nate, which is interesting for someone claiming to be such a family man.

Victor did not balk much because he wanted Nick to help his other son, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Victor purchased McCall Unlimited and turned it over to Adam to run. He pulled back his offer though when he saw that Adam intended to trim down McCall and then destroy Newman Media with it.
Now Adam and Nick have decided to work together and merge their business with Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case)‘s new acquisition, Kirsten Incorporated. Victor also supports this merger and thinks it will be a big success. He doesn’t want them to use their company to take down Newman Media.
Adam says that they will roll it over into Newman Enterprises, but when they do, it will absorb Newman Media. Newman Media would be redundant, so it will all become one big company. Newman Media as it is now, would cease to exist and Audra Charles would no longer be at the helm.
For some reason, Victor balks at this. Is there something we don’t know about Victor’s connection to Audra? For after all, why would he even be concerned about her?
She could easily get another position somewhere else once the Newman brothers take over the media division. Why is Victor so concerned about her future? What do you think?
