‘The Young and The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) redemption happened super quickly. She was instantly embraced by her mother, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and father, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) after she helped her aunt Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) kidnap Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and bring her to Jordan’s home.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Claire Was Devious Enough to Lure Nikki To Jordan’s Home
Claire stuck Nikki with a syringe, and they hooked her up to an IV of vodka. Nikki is a recovering alcoholic, and because of Jordan and Claire, she lost her sobriety. Even though Nikki’s got her act together now, thanks to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), it could have been worse if Nikki hadn’t been able to reclaim her life.

Claire had believed a lie all her life that her parents, Victoria and Cole, didn’t want her. When she found out the truth, she did a complete 180 and suddenly became as sweet as pie.
Sure, she was briefly institutionalized, and yes, she seems great with kids, but what if this whole redemption bit is a scam?
Think about it. Claire was “brainwashed” by Jordan her whole life, and Jordan taught her everything she knew about scheming and plotting, and it would take a very devious person to take part in Jordan’s revenge on the Newmans.

A few weeks in a facility doesn’t mean someone who played that dirty could reform. It’s possible, but the story has many holes.
Claire was bad to the bone, and now she has no edge. She’s all vanilla and no bean. The writers made a poor decision to make Claire all sugar and no spice since she’s been calling herself a Newman.
But what if she’s still rolling in the deep with her crazy aunt Jordan? Maybe she’s pretending to be good but has secretly remained in contact with Claire all this time.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: The Newmans And Abbotts Trust Claire
Jordan could have asked her to ingratiate herself with the Newmans and the Abbotts, which she’s been doing all this time. It could all be part of an even bigger plan.
She’s working at the (recently acquired) family company, Chancellor, and is in a relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). That’s a recipe for a brilliant scheme as far as Jordan is concerned.

Nikki has complete faith and trust in her granddaughter and never questions her loyalty to the Newmans. Maybe Claire is waiting for the perfect time to strike, like when Jordan gives her the go-ahead.
Jordan is now entangled with Ian Ward (Ray Wise), as Ian helped her escape prison. She’s been wearing silly wigs and disguises and doing Ian’s bidding. Colleen Zenk is a soap powerhouse and could play Jordan a little smarter.
We could see it if Claire was her secret weapon. It would be easy for Claire to deceive the Newmans and the Abbotts. Both families have clearly embraced her, and with her new job at Chancellor, she may have even more access to Newman family secrets, and her romance with Kyle could be a cover. Maybe Claire and Jordan are in cahoots, and they plan to eviscerate them into oblivion.
