‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) really does feel that she is in a bind. Her father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has demoted her from her position as CEO of Newman Enterprises, taking over the company himself. She needs help but doesn’t seem to have the support she needs.

Victoria was shocked that her father plans to remove her as CEO of Newman. He has always been pleased with her job performance. She is completely loyal to him and runs the company just like he would. She is cut-throat and savvy and no one can pull things over on her.
No one has had anything to complain about regarding the company. The only thing that might be in question was Victoria’s decision to start a relationship with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). She also brought him into Newman Enterprises and didn’t get feedback from her family on that decision.
Victor still didn’t seem to have an issue with that, so Victoria didn’t have any reason to suspect that her father would demote her. She thinks that he is beginning to struggle with faculties or with his age. He doesn’t want to become irrelevant, so he needs to take over again.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Looking for Support
Victoria has tried to get her mother’s support. Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) also has concerns about Victor going back to full time work. She doesn’t know why he would want to demote Victoria. However, she also believes that he should be able to what he wants with his company.
To placate Victoria and to diffuse the situation, Nikki tries to get Victor to agree to take a vacation with her before they both start their new jobs. Victor has made Nikki the CEO of Newman Media. He seems to agree with this but then he refuses in front of Victoria. He will do what he wants and there is nothing she can do about it.
Victoria also begs Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for his help. She needs him to take her side. Nick isn’t budging though. He doesn’t want to get pulled back into the family drama.
It is his father’s company and he has the right to do what he wants with it, whether the kids agree or not. Victoria needs to suck it up or leave. What do you think Victoria is going to do next?
