‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers For December 9 find that life in Genoa City could grow a little stale at times, so the show is happy to see we can always fall back on some favorite to help guide us through.
It’s been a couple of interesting weeks, so it’s good to catch up with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and see what trouble she’s gotten herself into.
On the plus side, it looks like this isn’t her fault. At least, not directly.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For December 9: Victoria needs to win
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has been on a vindictive streak toward Phyllis lately, and it looks like things are going to get worse when Victoria channels her father for her newest attempt to crush Phyllis.
We probably shouldn’t be surprised by this, given Victoria keeps pushing her into corner after corner to “teach her a lesson.”
In other words, Victoria needs to destroy someone to prove to herself she’s capable of being everything he is/was. It sounds more like she’s afraid to go head to head with her father just yet, but the time will come.

Until then, she’s going to continue antagonizing Phyllis and potentially push Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) further away until she won’t have any support.
This could get ugly, so we’d better bring some popcorn for the show.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For December 9: Billy’s guilty
At least, that’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s stance since the beginning and he’ll continue to stand by that until the day he dies or has no choice but to say otherwise.
It’s vindictive and petty, and every bit Victor.
The problem with his theory is that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) continues to claim he’s innocent and people, even those in the police, are beginning to think he was set up.
Even Victor’s daughter, Victoria, thinks he’s innocent.
While Victor’s never been one to shy away from an unpopular opinion before, this is one he may want to reconsider at some point.
‘Young and the Restless’ expect him to stick to his guns, which will only make it look like he set Billy up.
This is where things could get complicated for him, and to be honest, it probably should.
Victor’s been the center of everything in Genoa City for decades, so maybe it’s time for him to move on and let the younger generation take over fully.
Having him moved into the shadows to work on how to reclaim what he lost would be a pretty cool storyline and bring his story full circle.
