‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is always getting involved with his grown children’s lives, it doesn’t matter how old they get, he will continue to act as though they are living in his house, and he still wipes their butt (which I’m sure he was never bothered with anyway).

However, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and his siblings are their own people and once again it looks like we are preparing to watch Adam go to war with his father over a company.

The writers have really dropped the ball with the storylines lately, and every time they run out of ideas they throw Adam or Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) under the bus for some cheap drama while they figure something else out.

Not only is the storyline lacking anything exciting, but it feels old and stale, not to mention the fact that Victor is getting to a point where it’s amazing anyone would take what he says seriously.

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) ONCE AGAIN Steps On His Son’s Toes, When Will He Give It A Rest?

I think we’re at a point in the story where we need to bid goodbye to Victor. For too many years he has his nose in everyone’s business, and it causes nothing but issues and drama that could easily be avoided.

Sure, he’s been the head of the series for a long time, but when is it time to call it? We have plenty of characters that could be interesting if put into a leadership role and we’re not going to get it until he is gone.

    No photo description available.

He doesn’t need to have his character killed off by any means, but he should definitely take a backseat to all the other characters in Genoa City. While he may be a fan favorite, in no way should every single storyline have to flow through him for him to pick apart.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Victor Newman and should he or should he not start taking a backseat to these storylines and how much longer do you think he has left? Let us know in the comments below.
