‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is tired of the chaos and instability in the relationships of his children. He wants it to stop, and he is going to lay down the law. How will his family respond?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sibling Rivalry
There is no love lost between Y&R’s Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). While Victor has entrusted Newman Enterprises to Victoria, she isn’t willing to have anything with Adam. He has caused problems everywhere and she doesn’t want to work with him.
When Victor wanted to buy McCall Unlimited, Victoria had her own plans for it. Victor wanted Adam to run the company. This arrangement did not interest Victoria, so she pulled the Newman offer to buy it. Victor ended up buying it on his own and he invited Adam to run it.
He found out that Adam was trimming the company and making it ready to go on the attack. Adam planned to prepare the company to be able to take over Newman Media. He wanted to use it to attack the family company, which did not please Victor.
Victoria also wanted her boyfriend, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to become COO of Newman Enterprises. She gave her brother, Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow), a “temporary” leave of absence. Victoria probably doesn’t mean it to be temporary though. She is making reckless choices based on emotion. Victor is not pleased by this.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Laying Down the Law
Victor chooses to meet with his children, and he scolds them all. He tells Nate that he doesn’t trust him. He tells Adam that Nick is going to join him at running McCall, which Adam has renamed Adustus International. Victor decrees that after Adustus is in good condition, it will be merged into Newman Enterprises.
Adam says this is not what his father promised, and Victor said he is changing his plan. He says this is the way it will be, and if Adam doesn’t like it, he can walk.
Nick agrees to do what his father has asked and will help his brother. Adam decides that he will leave. He doesn’t want his father to control him and his plans for Adustus International.
When the dust settles, Victoria is pleased (that she will get Adustus without a fight), Nick is resigned (to doing whatever his father says, and Adam is ticked (and left the company).
Nick predicts that Adam will return, but he is probably not correct. If Adam doesn’t return, Victor says he will not pursue him any further.
