‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers reveals that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is gathering more evidence that could be used to put Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) behind bars.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: No Love Lost
There was no love lost between Diane and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis hated Diane and blamed her for everything that went wrong in Phyllis’ life. For her part, Diane mostly seems irritated by Phyllis and all of her bleating.
While irritation is not enough for a murder charge, things really ramped up on the night of the Phyllis’ death. Phyllis was able to lure Diane to a suite in the Sports Club and then trap her there. They began to argue and fight.
The argument turned physical, and Diane was found with her arms around Phyllis’ neck. Diane said that the world would be better if she could just rid the world of Phyllis. As this was happening, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) came in the room.
These witnesses heard Phyllis’ accusations that Diane was trying to kill her. They also heard Diane’s claim that she was provoked to a momentary lapse of judgment.
Phyllis also told Summer that she was scared of Diane. She also repeated this in a voice message to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). While still circumstantial, it helped to point eyes toward Diane.

Chance Chancellor got the toxicology report back on the vial of Phyllis’ blood that somehow survived the ambulance wreck and fire. This reportedly showed that Phyllis’ had been poisoned.
When Chance was searching Phyllis Summer’s suite at the Sports Club, he found a bottle under the table. It was an empty bottle of strychnine. He called to follow up on the bottle and found that it was purchased by none other than Diane Jenkins.
These events are going to put the spotlight directly on Diane. She obviously had a motive which was evidenced by the witnesses to her behavior that night. She probably also had the opportunity since she was up in Phyllis’ suite.
