‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that the battle between the Abbott siblings does not show any sign of abating. How much worse will it get?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Reason for the Battle
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) hates Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). She knows how badly Diane hurt her brother when she faked her own death and disappeared for so many years. Ashley doesn’t want her brother to get sucked into anything with Diane, but that happens.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is in love with Diane and wants to marry her. He has forgiven her for the past and they are looking forward to a future together.
She has moved into the Abbott Mansion and they are planning their wedding. Jack also gave Diane a job at Jabot. She has become Chief Talent Officer in the family company.
This infuriates Ashley and she wants Diane out of their lives. She attempted to stage a coup, trying to get her brother removed as CEO.
When she could not get the support of the family to do that, she decided that she would leave Jabot and join forces with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) to start a new competitor company. Jack is furious that she just quit and will be attacking Jabot in the process.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Deciding on a Course
When Jack Abbott went to New York City, he met with the company attorneys. He found that there are some loopholes that she can use to take her patents and her products from Jabot to her new company.
When he meets Ashley, they start to argue about that. Diane steps in, saying she is out. She will quit. She is done of being the cause of strife between the siblings.
Jack says that is not an option, but he will just let Ashley leave with her part of the company. This seems exactly like what Ashley was aiming to do in the first place as she starts her own company. They can’t quite agree how to manage the threat that Ashley and Tucker pose.
What do you think will happen to Jabot? Is this battle just getting worse or will they find a way to resolve their differences? What do you think?
