‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that trouble is brewing at Marchetti. It seems like there are difficulties between Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Is the arrival of Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) going to help iron it all out or will a bigger fracture happen?

When Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) were married, they were running Marchetti as co-CEOs. When they separated and then agreed to divorce, CEO Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) made a surprising decision. He decided to let Summer stay as CEO of Marchetti, and he asked his son Kyle to step down.
Jack asked Kyle to come work at Jabot again in any role. Kyle can’t bear to think of that, though. He doesn’t want any job lower than the job of CEO. He has had that title before, and he won’t consider getting something less than that.
Jack didn’t want to take Summer’s job away because she lost so much due to the shenanigans of her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). She lost so much that Jack feels like taking her job would be too much.
Jack also felt that Kyle and Summer working together as co-CEOs during a divorce would not be good for the company. He knew that they needed space from one another, so he made this decision.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: New Staff
After Kyle left, Summer asked Chloe and Chelsea to join her at Marchetti. They have been working well together for the most part. However, recently, Summer has been turning down the design ideas that Chloe has been giving to her.
They are rough draft sketches which need more development, but Summer has been throwing them out completely and demands that Chloe start from scratch.
This has happened more than once, and Chloe is getting frustrated. She feels like Summer doesn’t trust her. She suggests that perhaps Summer is putting some kind of intense pressure on herself to succeed in this new role.
Whatever it is, either a lack of trust in herself or a lack of trust in her staff, it is causing great turmoil.
Chelsea has just returned to Genoa City. Is she going to help iron this out or are things going to get more heated? What do you think?
