‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has allegedly died. Now, we all understand that there is absolutely a chance that this is all a set-up and Phyllis along with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), but Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) isn’t in on it at all.
As soon as she heard the news, Summer fell into Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) arms and tears filled her face. There has been a lot going on all ready for her to deal with, both in her marriage and the drama with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). However, this may be what sets her over the edge.

Since Lanier took over the role of Summer from Hunter King, Summer has seemed like a much more subdued and calm person, but we can tell that there is still some of Phyllis in there and we all know the amount of crazy that is on the inside of that!
There is probably going to come a time soon when Summer completely loses it without her mother and it could definitely come between her marriage to Kyle.
There needs to be a moment with Summer where we can see her weaker side and see how it affects her relationship with Kyle, not to mention, Harrison.
If Phyllis is faking her death, it’s hard to feel like this was the right decision. Especially after she attacked Diane over and over for abandoning her child… now she is doing exactly the same thing and it’s pathetic.
She’s doing exactly what she was so mad at her about, and yet she seems to think it’s absolutely fine. Now, the big question is, could Phyllis really be dead?
