In a recent conversation, Daniele discovered Yohan’s history with an ex when they were discussing the possibility of starting a family.
Gates came to know that her spouse did not have any children, but he had a former partner who terminated their pregnancy.
This disclosure provoked Gates, who felt that her husband had kept his past concealed from her. Daniele, by mentioning the abortion history, added to the distress.
In her comments, she said: “I’m not upset about the abortion, I’m upset that Yohan hasn’t been honest with me,” to which Yohan replied: “Past doesn’t have to be in your present relationship.”
A large number of people who watched the show have supported Yohan’s perspective and are concerned that Daniele’s outburst during the show might lead to legal repercussions for him.
As per one individual’s claim, in the Dominican Republic, the law requires the pregnancy to be completed till the end.
The person further added that Daniele’s decision to discuss abortion on TV is a foolish move and may lead to Yohan and his former partner facing imprisonment.
One person wrote: “We have amongst the strictest abortion laws..This means that no matter what, by law, a pregnancy has to be carried to term.
“Therefore, Danielle forcing this conversation to happen on television put both Yohan and his past partners at risk of prison time.”
While another person stated: “I don’t think Johan is smart enough to have thought about the possibility of having legal issues because he spoke about it on TV lol.
“He was probably just uncomfortable talking about it and didnt really give a s**t.” Daniele openly talked about Yohan’s former partner’s personal life on television without any remorse, portraying herself as a victim.
Many of her supporters believe that Daniele lacks understanding of the Dominican Republic’s cultural norms and is not interested in familiarizing herself with its legal system.
And that appears to be a recipe for disaster moving forward unless something does change drastically.
