‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) are putting the past behind them and are trying to get their relationship on a more positive footing.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chaos for the Siblings
Y&R’s Phyllis Summer (Michelle Stafford) really messes things up for her kids. She always thinks she is doing the best for them, but she does not listen to them. She acts on what she feels is best and doesn’t respect their wishes. It has caused a lot of problems for Summer and Daniel.
When they rejected her because her interference caused them both major problems, she decided that she would go ahead and fake her death. Her goal was to frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for her death.
Phyllis felt that no one would miss her, so she thought she could go ahead with the plan. But then she witnessed the agony and suffering Daniel and Summer were going through at her absence.
She decided to tell them she was still alive, and this caused major issues for both of them at well. Summer tried to hide it and manage the news by herself. But she couldn’t keep it inside anymore and ended up telling Daniel.
He didn’t think it was right to hide it and ended up telling the Abbott family. This ended up bringing about the end to Summer’s marriage, as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) can’t accept her deceitfulness.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Putting it Back Together
While Summer is still very discouraged about the breakup with Kyle, she is not holding this against Daniel anymore. It appears that they can both see the toll that their mother has taken on their lives.
They love her, but she is so difficult. Summer shares with Daniel that Phyllis wants to talk to Kyle to try to fix Summer’s marriage. Summer knows this will not go well, and again, doesn’t want her mother’s interference.
It seems that Summer and Daniel are in a better place now. They are communicating well and seem to be on the same page about their mother. Daniel has encouraged Summer to be patient and give Kyle time. He has hope for their marriage, even though Summer feels like it might be hopeless.
It is nice to see the siblings caring for each other and not fighting. What do you think? Is this going to last, or is Phyllis going to cause this to fail as well?
