‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may not work for the Abbott family at all anymore. A strange move by his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has him exploring other options. What will be next for him?

Y&R’s Jack Abbott asks Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) into his office to discuss Marchetti. Kyle thinks it is about the latest sales, but Jack tells him that he actually wants to break up the leadership team of Kyle and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).
Since Kyle and Summer are separating, it will be difficult for them to keep working as a team at work as well. He thinks that one of them should resign.
Kyle thinks that Jack would definitely ask Summer to resign since Kyle is his son. Jack surprises him by saying that he thinks Kyle should resign and Summer should stay.
Kyle could work somewhere else in Jabot and Summer has lost everything right now. She has lost her marriage, her son, and her home. She needs something stable, and Jack thinks she should stay.
This angers Kyle who has to go and think about it before responding. He thinks that he and Summer can be professional at work and not let their personal problems influence their job, but Jack disagrees.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Kyle’s Move Out…WAY Out
Kyle ends up agreeing with Jack. When he thinks about it, he determines that it would not be good for the other staff to work in the tension created by Kyle and Summer. He tells his father that he is resigning.
The downside of this is that Kyle and Summer will have less interaction. If they were at least working together, they would see each other regularly. Now it will be sporadic. While the space may be good, it may also cement their connections to other people.
Kyle drops the bombshell on Jack and his mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), that he does not even want a job at Jabot. His uncle, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), is in the leadership role that would fit him. Anything else would be strange demotion.
He is going to leave Jabot altogether, and this stuns Jack. What will Kyle do next? Is he going to get set up with something at Newman Media thanks to his new bed mate, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver)? What do you think is next for Kyle?
