‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Claire Is On a Single-Minded Mission to Bury Audra with Her Secret
Claire has been involved in a single-minded pursuit to bring Audra down since she discovered that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) had kissed Audra in France.
She’s almost making it into the most important aspect of her life. Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) asked her to go with him to Los Angeles.
He invited her because he genuinely saw it as an opportunity to spend time with her and strengthen their bond. However, Claire appears to be using Holden to dig up dirt on Audra.
Holden fed Claire just enough information to prevent her from digging any further. Yet it only seemed to spark her curiosity further.
Claire is determined to find the smoking gun that will be Audra’s downfall. Y&R fans know that Holden accidentally killed someone to protect Audra.
It’s a perfectly noble reason, considering that a shady art dealer could have really hurt her. Audra stole some money from him, and he had confronted her at the Shadow Room in LA.
Holden and Audra made a pact never to reveal the truth about what happened that night. However, Claire seems obsessed with learning the full story.
Once she discovers that Holden murdered someone and he and Audra covered it up, will the reason why even matter to her?
Claire hates Audra with the fire of a thousand suns. Odds are she’ll use the information she uncovers about Audra, even if it hurts Holden.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Is Claire Just Using Holden to Get Revenge on Audra?
Claire claims Holden is her friend, but it looks like she’s really using him. Holden has genuine feelings for Claire, but she slept with him in LA and was satisfied enough with their one-night stand that she no longer seems remotely interested in him.
We all know she’ll eventually get back together with Kyle, but it would have been interesting if the soap tried to explore the spark between Claire and Holden a bit more.
That said, now Claire is in LA with Holden, and she’s probing him for answers. She doesn’t like that he’s keeping secrets, but is any of what happened with Audra and Holden any of her business?
Claire should be enjoying her time with Holden, but she’s far more interested in burying Audra. She’ll likely pay another visit to Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) and try to get the truth out of her.
Her ongoing grudge against Audra is turning into a single-minded obsession. Claire should do one of three things: focus on her family and try to help them anyway she can, considering everything that’s been going on with the family company.
She could also get back together with Kyle and put all her energy into repairing that relationship. Or, Claire could give Holden a chance.
Regardless, it’s her decision. Yet somehow, her incessant need for revenge against Audra is becoming tiresome, and the secret Holden is keeping for Audra isn’t even all that scandalous.
Whatever happened to the Claire who was on a journey of self-discovery and longed for adventure? She was a lot more fun to watch.
