‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that love in Genoa City, Wisconsin, is complicated. That aspect of daytime drama has long been a staple. So, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is considering pursuing a revival with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
He is like no other man she has met in GC or Los Angeles, California. Crossover viewers know that Sally had various loves in LA, but none grew to marriage. And no guy she ever fell for has ever been like Adam.
For his sake, Adam has convinced himself that Sally is his future. He and his devoted fans know that two of his loves top Hope’s character. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will always hold places in his heart.

It took guts for Sally to seek advice from Adam’s former wives. But she did that because of how deeply she feels about him.
Sharon, in particular, spoke with Sally on multiple occasions recently. Case’s character recognized Sally’s natural love for Adam and offered genuine encouragement. Sharon takes a more direct approach with Adam, who respects her opinion and attempts to implement her advice when possible.
Chelsea has a different connection with Adam because they are parents. Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is their priority. They saw how he responded to the child Ava Hope, Adam, and Sally were going to have but lost through a miscarriage. So, Chelsea continues to serve as a different referral source.

She tried as hard as possible but could not get Adam out of her head. The intensity of her resistance proved to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that Sally was not in love with him.
It might not be fair, but Nick was a replacement or a distraction from Adam. Some might call Nick a rebound from his younger brother.
Nick made the right move when ending his relationship with Sally because he knew she wanted Adam. Plus, Nick knew what happened in similar situations when Sharon and Chelsea were caught between the Newman brothers.

Adam can’t repeat his well-worn patterns. If he does, Sally could stop the reconciliation at whatever point. She might never give him another chance, either.
It appears that Sally recognizes that she shares responsibility with Adam for their past failure to stay together. That is a fair assessment.
However, Adam’s obsession with his family and his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), damaged Sally. She could not take the needless whirlwind Adam created. So, if he can remain under control, he should have a chance at a lasting pairing with Sally on Y&R.
