‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has a difficult time trusting others. She needs help to get out of the sticky situation she is in, but she can’t even be honest with her new lawyer. When Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) asks for details to help her client, Phyllis can’t tell her the truth.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Banking on False Testimony

Phyllis needs a witness to substantiate her claim. She is claiming that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) made her fake her death and frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for it. Then, when she decided that she had enough and couldn’t stand to be away from her kids, Stark attacked her.

Stark decided it would be fine for him to kill someone who was already “dead” since she refused to take off and go into hiding. He was concerned that she would blame it all on him and he did not want to go back to jail. When he attacked her, she fought back and killed him with the scissors.

Phyllis wanted to come back to Genoa City but couldn’t bring herself to do so until she had a way to stay out of jail. The EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) knew about the plan to frame Diane, but he did not witness the fight in which Phyllis killed Stark.

Phyllis was hoping that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) could find the EMT and that he’d be able to be convinced to say he saw everything.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Preparing a Defense Blind

Michael got called away to Singapore. Phyllis’ son, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) asked his ex-wife, Heather Stevens, to defend his mother. Heather wants to know the whole story so she can defend Phyllis to the best of her ability.

    No photo description available.

Phyllis tells her about being blackmailed by Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) because he was the one who found Carson. Phyllis feels very overcome by his control over her. But when Heather asks her specifically if Carson really did witness the fight, Phyllis lies.

She says, “Absolutely”.  Even though Heather says their conversation is protected by attorney client privilege and really does need to know all the facts, Phyllis is not honest.
