‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) plans to openly admit her relapse and return to AA. Nikki has struggled every day to deal with the fallout from Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) crazy plan, which has put her sobriety in danger and completely turned her life upside down.
Fortunately, knowing that there is still time for her to make a change, Nikki is committed to getting back on the wagon and moving forward. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who accompany her on her voyage, will provide her with steadfast support.
There’s also great casting news as Brian Gaskill joins ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Seth. Seth is an interesting character who will meet Nikki in AA and offer her another source of support.
In her prior AA sessions, Nikki felt alienated, however, this time, she might feel more accepted after talking to Seth. Nikki may find it helpful to have Seth as a confidant while she works through the program’s obstacles and looks for accountability.
Seth, who is essentially a kind guy, has had to face serious blunders that are a result of his personal struggles with alcoholism. Nikki will have a great confidant in Seth, who will reassure her that she is not alone in her troubles.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) Heading Back To AA, Spends Time With A New Man?
In a plot twist that may lend drama to a soap opera, there’s a rumor that Nikki cheated on Seth. Although this can set up a fascinating storyline twist for Nikki in the upcoming year, it might also turn out to be a scenario in which Seth develops into a platonically reliable buddy. Nikki already faces a number of difficulties, so adding infidelity might make everything worse. It will be interesting to watch if Nikki continues to be faithful to Victor.
Brian Gaskill, who is making his ‘The Young and the Restless’ debut as Seth, brings a wealth of soap opera expertise to the show. After a 15-year break, Gaskill returns to daytime drama with roles in ‘As the World Turns’, ‘Guiding Light’, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, ‘General Hospital’ spinoff Port Charles, and ‘All My Children’. He is prepared to make a big impression as Seth in Genoa City.
