‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that allowing yourself to begin drinking again is a regrettable use of free will. But Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was drugged and unconscious when a deranged lunatic forced alcohol into her system.
Therefore, Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) is bent on systematic revenge, which includes keeping Nikki off-balance. Zenk’s character sees that as a way of keeping Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on edge.
The plan to get the Newman family did not end in Redmond, Oregon. Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) arrest did not complete the threat because the orchestrator of the assault remains on the loose.

Though she is confined in the Genoa City Memorial Hospital psychiatric ward, Claire holds more power than ever. The revealed daughter of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) gained identity confirmation from her parents.
Meanwhile, knowing who her others family members are means that Claire has the support of people who love her. Jordan, while blood, was never more than a manipulative creature.
Jordan’s disguise and attempt to keep using Claire are countered by the love Victoria and Cole express. Here’s hoping that Erin’s character remains clear-eyed in the days ahead.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Victor Newman Is Not All-Powerful
The Moustache projects omnipotence and invincibility. But the late Eve Howards’ (Margaret Mason) attempts to end Nikki’s life, and the other attacks she made directly against Victor prove both beliefs a myth.
However, Victor did not prevent Jordan from exacting a plot that nearly proved successful. If not for Claire, the Newman family, Cole, and Nikki would likely have perished at the lake house.
The security team Victor employs did not prevent Jordan from being in GC or invading the psychiatric ward. That means Zenk’s character is as dangerous as Victoria told Claire she remains.
Recognizing Nikki’s fragile state, Victor’s suggestion to take Nikki out of a stressful setting was wise. But his wife suggested they can not take a vacation because they need to support Victoria.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Can Nikki Newman Make It?
While she attended some Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and has fooled her family to date, Nikki is barely hanging on. She is drinking daily and will inevitably be caught.
Most importantly, it feels like Nikki’s inability to remain sober will be exploited by Jordan in the next anticipated climax. This storyline appears to have one or more chapters left on Y&R.
