‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has finally realized his true feelings for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). What will be next for the couple?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Realization
Nick Newman is brought to his senses when he has a conversation with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) about her failed relationship with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). He shares a drink with Elena and they process her feelings about Nate’s infidelity with Nick’s sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
As they talk, she comments on his happiness, which is palpable. He admits that he is very happy in his relationship with Sally. Elena says that love should be celebrated.
As she talks, Nick realizes for himself that what he really does feel for Sally is love. It’s not just physical attraction, but it goes deeper than that.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Next Step?
Nick’s next step is to tell Sally about it. He prepares a romantic meal for them in her hotel room and surprises her with his pronouncement. The question is, where will this take them next? While he realizes his feelings for her are deep, is this going to result in some kind of commitment for the couple?
It is a bit challenging to take on the commitment of marriage. Sally has had a recent relationship with Nick’s brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Sally is pregnant, and it is not with Nick’s baby as they hoped.
She is carrying Adam’s baby. This means that Adam will be a part of their lives forever, as he is involved with co-parenting with Sally.
Additionally, Adam still has feelings for Sally. He is trying to stay out of Nick and Sally’s relationship. Adam is trying to hide his feelings, but Sally knows that he still has them.
This is a big obstacle to a marriage commitment between Nick and Sally. Since there is this difficult variable, Nick may be reticent to commit to Sally in such a way. He has expressed his love though, and that was a big step.
The other big obstacle will be Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). He’ll do anything to make sure his sons don’t end up with Sally. What do you think is next for Nick and Sally?
