Victoria Newman (Ameila Heinle) is going to take a trip to Los Angeles to work on some acquisitions related to Newman Media. Her mother, Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) suggested that Victoria take a vacation. Victoria isn’t really interested in vacation time, but decided she could take a little break if she combined it with some business.
In true Victoria fashion, she made the decision to invite Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) along since the acquisitions impact his division. It also works out for her because she is keen to mix business with pleasure. Having Nate along for the trip means they can take advantage of their time alone with each other.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Dishonesty
Nate wants to do anything he can to further his career. He also wants to make decisions that are good for the company. Nate is also very attracted to Victoria Newman. He didn’t have to consider her invitation for long but readily agreed that he would go.
When Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) asks to go with him on the trip to Los Angeles, he admits that he is going with Victoria. Perhaps he feels there is no way to hide it from her since she is part of the company, but it seems like he tells her about it too readily. He has already experienced Audra’s interference in his personal relationship with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), so this seems like a glib response.
Nate’s big mistake is choosing to lie to Elena. When she asks him who he will be going on the trip with, he appears a bit uncomfortable but then says he is going alone. This is a fatal mistake.
It won’t be long at all before she finds out the truth. The lie now will be much worse than him just coming clean about this business trip. Why did Nate make such a foolish mistake?
