‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the writers keep trying to make Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) interesting, however, there’s one big problem… nobody seems to care.
At least, none of the viewers. The one person who seems to care is Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and it’s because she is/was dating one of them.
This sudden Nate character change hasn’t been sitting well with a lot of people and it doesn’t feel like he’s a likable character anymore.
Ever since he cheated with Elena and broke her up with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), he has slowly been going downhill and we’re not sure why they decided to ruin a character like this.

Why do they keep pushing this storyline with Victoria and Nate? What are they trying to build up to and will it even be worth it? The only thing I could see that might make this interesting is if Nate is secretly working to take over the company from Victoria.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has already shown an interest into what his real agenda could be, but it doesn’t seem to be a big deal.
If Nate was planning a coup, he’s not doing a very good job. Right now all it seems like he has done is ruined his relationship and potentially created bigger problems for his working relationship.
It doesn’t make sense. And to think, he used to be a respectable doctor until he met the Newmans. That’s what Genoa City and the Newmans will do to you though.
There needs to be a redemption arc coming soon, because right now, Nate is one of the most unlikable characters on the show and I’m not sure why we would even care what he or Victoria do. They seem made for each other.
