‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) is being honored at the Daytime Emmys this year by being a Lifetime Achievement Honoree. The news broke today and landed on several social media pages with a photo of Scott alongside ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’s Edward J. Scott.
Many fans are saying that this is long overdue and it’s about time that Melody Thomas Scott be recognized for her incredible work, even going as far as saying that she carried a lot of the storylines this year. Currently, she is in a predicament with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and their struggles with sobriety.

Fans reacted to the news saying, “Ok I’m teary eyed m!😭❤️ How perfect! 😭❤️Mel has carried story on Y&R this past year, and has done so beautifully!!! She’s deserved her Emmy for soooooo long. They both have given so much to the genre!!”, “It’s about time! I hope the same thing happens to Mel that happened to the late, great Jeanne Cooper when she was bestowed the lifetime achievement award—she got a Daytime Emmy for leading actress in a drama.” and “Congratulations Melody and your husband Edward Scott on your Lifetime Achievement Honorees Awards at the Daytime Emmys next month. Can’t wait to see you both!”
It certainly has been a long time coming and we couldn’t be more excited for Scott. However, at the same time, we are pretty tired of seeing her fall down the alcoholic rabbit hole and would love to see her get clean, along with Jack. It just feels like an unneeded storyline. We are excited to see what’s in the future though!
