‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers For November 27 find that’s nothing like celebrating the holiday season with a classic episode, and the show is here with the preview.
For those that may remember, this episode was among the first shown during the early days of the lockdown when production halted.
It’s the opening episode of what was the iconic masquerade ball storyline and aired October 2, 1991 and brings back many of our favorites like Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) in the fabled Colonnade Room.
It was a fun segment that brings back plenty of memories, but it also makes us wonder this is the best they could do?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For November 27: Repeating a repeat
It’s not that ‘Young and the Restless’ don’t appreciate seeing some of the old classics again, but the fact there are so many they could’ve chosen why this one?
Considering this was such an awesome storyline, it would’ve made more sense for the show runners to share something that’s not going to have us wanting more.
And if they don’t show the rest of the arc, which they probably won’t, we’re expected to be happy with this.
Of course, given how weak the current run is, chances are they’d be better off showing the older episodes starting from the beginning.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For November 27: There is a plus side
At least, we’ll get to see Katherine in all her glory again, as well as a young Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and others that we haven’t seen for years, or since the last airing.
There’s no reason we shouldn’t be thankful for this surprise, as it’ll give us a break from having a current run that’s afraid to go to the darker aspect that helped make the show fun and exciting.
Now, they seem more worried about being happy or less grim, and they’re failing to deliver for many fans.
So, why not sit back and enjoy what this has to offer? We’re going to enjoy it and with any luck they’ll continue showing classic episodes. In complete story arcs would be nice.
Maybe this could become a new trend where a classic episode is shown every Friday? It’d be a nice change of pace for us.
It’d also ease the burden on the producers to crank out so much content in such a tight window and allow us to have some better thought out and written storylines. Just a thought.
