‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is putting a lot of faith into Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and making him the interim COO instead of her brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Are you having flashbacks to when Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) was around? Because I am…

Now only is this is a terrible idea for Victoria, but it could lead Newman Enterprises into the ground. Nate has not been around the business for that long, and seems to have very sinister intentions.

So much so, that it feels like the writers might be trying to create a villain right here in Genoa City, and Nate is going to try to start taking everything for himself.

“Victoria asks Nate to take over for Nick during his forced leave of absence from Newman Enterprises.”

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Making A Villain – Is Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) Headed Down A Dark Path?

We’ve seen Nate over the past year completely transform from the man he used to be. Not only did he have to leave his field of medicine as a surgeon, but when he decided to go into the business sector, we could immediately see that he was not going to play fair.

The writers have completely twisted his character and now it feels like he may be capable of anything, including taking over Newman Enterprises from Victoria and her family, and at this point, it kind of feels like she may deserve it.

I do like how they have taken an existing character and changed his ideals and wants and essentially made him a ‘bad guy’ instead of bringing in another from out of town, though I am a bit upset that it had to be Nate. He seemed like one of the most level-headed people in Genoa City, though, maybe that is exactly why he has fallen so hard!

May be an image of 2 people and suit

What do you think? Will they be turning Nate into a villain, and what do you think about that? Would you rather them use someone from out of town instead of completely changing an existing character? Let us know in the comments below.
