‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers share that Lucas Adams recently dished to TV Line about playing the new Noah Newman.

The actor makes his big debut on Y&R on November 4th. Adams first got his start on soaps playing Tripp Dalton on Days of Our Lives.

Interestingly, Adams had no idea who was auditioning for when he received the call. The actor explained,

“It was all very hush-hush, so I didn’t know the official character when I was first doing the audition process.”

    He continued,

“But I knew that the character seemed really fun, and they gave me slight descriptions here and there that I could piece together.”

    Adams said,

“I did a deep dive and went full detective on who I could be playing, so I had already guessed that it was for Noah Newman.”

    His hunch proved correct.

The actor had the privilege of screen-testing with two soap legends, Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case, who play Nick Newman and Sharon Newman, respectively.

The trio got along famously and made Adams feel right at home. Adams was elated that the screen test went well.

    He described the experience,

“It went really well. We were chit-chatting in the waiting room beforehand, and bonded a bit and got to go over the scene some. After we did the scene, it just felt really good.”

    He added,

“I felt really strongly about it, and I got the call that I got it, I was just over the moon and couldn’t wait to get to work.”

The Newmans aren’t just one of the most important families on the show, but on daytime TV in general. Everyone knows who the Newmans are. Adams is both excited and honored to play Nick and Sharon’s son.

Plus, Adams also gets to work with his former on-screen mom, Tamara Braun, who played the role of Ava Vitali on DOOL, and now plays Hollywood club owner, Sienna Bacall, on Y&R.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the two interact. Nick and Sharon both believe that Siena knows more about Noah’s accident than Sienna is willing to admit.

Plus, now their old nemesis, Matt Clark, who now calls himself Mitch Bacall (Roger Howarth), is involved in this mess.

Adams reunited with another former DOOL castmate who’s now on Y&R. Billy Flynn, who plays Chad DiMera on the peacock soap until early 2026, and now Cane Ashby, on Y&R, was also happy to see Adams again.

Noah is currently in a medically induced coma but will wake up soon. Fans wonder whether he can provide some clarity on what happened, or perhaps he may have suffered some memory loss.

When speaking about getting to know his character, Adams said, Noah is a good kid who got himself wrapped up in some rough people.”

    He told TV Insider,

“He has a great heart, and I think that he’s always trying to do the best for everyone around him.”

Adams is thrilled about this gig,

“I’m just really looking forward to my next chapter.”

    He teased,

“These storylines are already going in such a fun direction, and I’m stoked for the fans to see them.”
