‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that On New Year’s Eve, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will reach an all-time low. Instead of spending the evening with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), she finds herself alone and befuddled by their connection.
Lily has taken a back seat with Billy since he pulled Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) away from the cliff and saved her life. Billy is preoccupied with keeping in touch with Chelsea. Billy responds quickly to texts, even when he is having an intense conversation with Lily. Billy vowed to go to couples counseling with her after the new year.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) Cries Alone, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) To The Rescue?
But it is looking like they may not make it that long. They both acknowledge that they have issues in their relationship, and neither knows how to fix them. While Lily cries in the cold alone, Billy enjoys a lovely evening with Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Billy has no romantic feelings for Chelsea, but he’s putting her needs above Lily’s. It’s a significant source of tension, and he’s not sure how to dial back on his support of Chelsea in her depressive state. As Lily wipes tears away, Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Graziadei) texts to wish her a Happy New Year.
She doesn’t appear to respond straight away, but she will eventually contact her high school sweetheart. Perhaps she will unload her problem on him, providing him with a fuller picture of Billy’s neglect since Chelsea‘s suicide attempt. Perhaps it is time for Daniel to Tell Lily as well. He should talk about his problems, particularly his sadness and alcoholism. She would understand and support him while he reorganized his life. Billy is blind to how much attention he is devoting to Chelsea is ruining his relationship with Lily.
