‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that targeting the Newman family took guts. But coming to Genoa City, Wisconsin, elevates Jordan Howard’s (Colleen Zenk) game to an entirely new level.
Targeting Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is something only the bold do. That adjective can be applied to Jordan. But another, whacky, hits the mark more directly.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was someone Jordan’s deceased sister aimed for. She did so as a means of getting back at Victor. Zenk’s character is taking the same approach.

Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) offered an informative response during the height of the drama surrounding Jordan’s motives. When discussing his mother, Eve Howard (Margaret Mason), Cole said that his mother and Zenk’s character were not close.
However, Jordan appointed herself Eve’s avenger. She claims to know, with certainty, all factors of her sister’s life and death. Jordan blames the Moustache for causing it.
If Jordan and Eve were not close, then the basis of this assault against Victor and Nikki, in particular, remain open-ended. Indeed, Jordan’s deranged state fuels her actions. But will other details be provided to explain further why she kidnapped Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) at birth?
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Claire Grace Is The First Victim
Commenting about Jordan’s victim is an ambiguous reference. It can mean Nikki or Claire.
Nikki was the target of Eve’s disarranged mind in daytime days gone by. She was obsessed with Victor and saw Thomas Scott’s character as stealing her man.
If the DNA test holds and Claire is a Howard and a Newman, then Jordan stole her from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole. That decades-long revenge plot stretches disbelief to the point of a rubber band’s break.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Nikki Newman Endangers Herself
Jordan has skillfully distracted the Newmans, which allowed Nikki to be vulnerable. Zenk’s character took advantage of her imposed, inebriated state.
Victor is working feverishly to locate Jordan and that caused him to believe Nikki was safe at the Ranch. Victoria is dealing with Claire’s missing status and has not noticed her mother’s return to using alcohol. Nick Newman (Joshua Newman) is recovering from being stabbed and is not up to par.
Audience members will not be scratching their heads, but the Newman family will be. Victor, Victoria, and Nick will not know why Nikki drove to meet Jordan. But it needed to happen, with the plot potentially climaxing on Y&R.
