‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that James Hyde (Jeremy Stark) is sticking around for a little while longer, so it doesn’t seem like Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will be able to get rid of Jeremy Stark very quickly. In October when Jeremy Stark made a cameo appearance in flashbacks while Diane described her relationship to the shady character, Hyde made his television debut. However, you don’t hire an actor like this for only one episode, as we suspected at the time. And as it turned out, the criminal was let out of jail, and on December 2, Jeremy showed up in Genoa City to cause mayhem.
Hyde revealed in an interview with Soap Opera Digest,
“The first E-mail I got said, ‘It’s just one episode and we don’t know anything after that. Since it was a new character that no one had played before, I couldn’t say no to that. There was never anything on their part about how the character would be written. and for how long, just that he would be recurring. I imagine that it was, ‘Put him out there and see what happens.’”
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: James Hyde Reveals His Role As Jeremy Stark Has Been Extended
Hyde is relishing every turn of the tale, no matter where it goes, even though it’s still uncertain how long his tenure at Y&R will remain. Hyde says, “At first, Jeremy told Diane that he wanted his money back, but when Jack offered him a big amount to leave Genoa City, Jeremy didn’t take it, so that tells me he’s there for a reason.”
He continued to close his statement by saying that he is just enjoying the ride. “I know I’ve got stuff still coming up but after that, there’s nothing guaranteed. All I can say is that I worked really hard on Jeremy and working with such great people has only elevated the character. So for now, I’m just enjoying the ride.”
