‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers suggests that Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) hopes to prove the “murder” of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was committed by Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and not his fiancé Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) have just been shattered. It’s looking even worse for Diane at this moment.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Anyone Who Will Listen
Jack has been bellowing to anyone and everyone that Jeremy Stark has to be the one who killed Phyllis and framed Diane for her murder. Stark came back to town to get his revenge on Diane, and he has done it well.
Jack reminds people that Diane had so much going for her that she would not compromise. She was engaged, was building a relationship with her son and grandson, and had a job.
As Jack says, “She has it all!” Diane wouldn’t risk all of that for a chance to get back at Phyllis. He also doesn’t believe she would be capable of murder.
Even though this makes logical sense, there is quite evidence pointing to Diane. She threatened Phyllis during the night of the gala. She provoked to say what she said, but people still witnessed it. A bottle of poison was found in Phyllis’ suite and investigation showed Diane purchased it.
Jack says this is circumstantial and that Stark is responsible for all of it. However, they have to find Stark and try to get this out of him in order to make any progress in their defense of Diane.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Bomb Drops
At Crimson Lights, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) gets the call that they have finally located Jeremy Stark. However, they did not find an ex-con who they can interview. Instead, they found his dead body.
Jack is shocked. Without Stark to interrogate and investigate, how will they ever free Diane? Their only hope will be for Phyllis to show up and let everyone know she is still alive. Will she do that though or will she try to still make Diane pay in some way? What do you think?
