‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may soon reach his limit with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). He may decide soon that he can’t take anymore, and it is time to move on with someone who has less baggage.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Brutal Day
Nick has been going through a lot of emotional turmoil because of the people he loves. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), the mother of his daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is believed to have died. This was a blow to everyone in Genoa City.
Nick feels the depth of the loss because Phyllis was someone he once loved. He is really worried about his daughter, Summer, because she does not seem to be handling her grief well. He is concerned that by the reactions his daughter is having. This is weighing on him because he does not seem to be able to offer her any help.
Nick is also worried about his sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). He catches her in the midst of some shenanigans with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and warns her that this is a terrible idea. He can see great heartache ahead for his sister, but she attacks back, telling him to mind his own business.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: More Bad News
In this frame of mind, Sally tells him that she needs to be there for him now. He needs her attention and support. He expresses that talking about something lighter would be great and wants to talk about the baby and their upcoming appointment.
It is at this point that she shares news with him that he won’t like to hear. She tells him that they are going to find out the sex of the baby, but Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be going since he is the father.
Nick doesn’t take that news very well at the end of a draining and emotionally exhausting day. Although he has been trying to go with the flow since he learned that Adam is the father, this may prove to be the beginning of the unraveling of Nick and Sally’s relationship.
Nick may decide that all of this emotional tug of war may not be worth it anymore. Adam, for his part, has told his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that he still loves Sally. Although he has been trying to stay out of Nick and Sally’s relationship, that may start to change as he comes to grips with how he really feels about her.
It may be time for Nick to take a hike and to find someone without so much emotional baggage. What do you think? Is Sally really right for Nick? Can they make it work?
