‘The Young And The Restless (Y&R)’ spoilers show that it looks like Ben Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) has kidnapped Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) presumably for the unborn child. Fans are convinced that he’s been stalking Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) because he wants a child since his son isn’t doing well.

While this could turn out to be a large storyline and will turn Ben into a terrible person, are we ready to go down this road again? ‘The Young and the Restless’ official Instagram posted about Ben being back in town and shared some throwback photos, but some fans were unsure about the “kidnapped baby” storyline coming back yet again.

“Seeing Stitch in Genoa City has us reminiscing…remember this #YR wedding? ? #ThrowbackThursday”

One fan wrote, “Please, not the kidnapped baby story. Soaps need to be a little more original and sophisticated, and the kidnapped baby/switched baby/switched DNA storylines are old and worn.”, to which more viewers responded by saying, “You’re absolutely right. I get this is a soap opera but the recycled storylines are really just lazy writing. This is why soap operas are down in viewership.” and “? exactly I am over that and the “twin” thing also killing off characters and all of a sudden there is a twin.”

Have we seen this storyline enough already and why would they turn Stitch into a terrible person after being off the show for four years? It all seems wrong but the writers might be in a desperation play after losing the #Skyle storyline.
