‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) was not lying when she told Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) that she was not scared of his threats. But is she not carefully considering her next move?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Contention
Phyllis feels like she did the wrong thing, faking her death and framing Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for her murder. She doesn’t feel bad that Diane is in prison, because she feels that she belongs there. She does feel badly that her kids are in such anguish.
Phyllis sees that her kids feel terrible about the way that they treated her. She feels like she can’t bear their agony, and she wants to go to them. Jeremy tells her that is ridiculous. He says they will never forgive Phyllis for deceiving them and causing them this pain.
Stark tells Phyllis that she has to leave town. If she won’t do that, he will kill her. She says that she is not scared of him, and his threats are not as bad as the burden that she is carrying for her children. He decides to attack because everyone thinks Phyllis is dead anyway.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Attack
When Phyllis tries to flee the hotel room, Stark sees that the only way to avoid prison is to take Phyllis out for good. He grabs scissors and approaches to kill Phyllis. She screams and runs into the bathroom, but he follows.
Apparently, he was no match for the savvy and vicious Phyllis, and she took him out instead. His body is wrapped in a shower curtain, and she is covered in blood.
She packs up her things and starts to pull Stark’s body out of the room. She may not be thinking through this very clearly. If she drags his body out from the motel, she could get caught by someone.
Wouldn’t it be better to call up the authorities and say that Stark made her do all this? While it may get her enemy Diane out of prison after all, it would endear her to everyone in Genoa City.
Shouldn’t she blame this all on Stark, who is an infamous ex-con, and say that he was threatening her life and the lives of her children? Then she could look like the heroine for rescuing Diane while eliminating Stark. She seems to be acting rashly and not thinking this through. Do you agree?
