‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers suggests that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is going to find it hard to stay dead. She may have to find another way to ruin her enemy Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and take down Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Vulnerable Time
Jeremy Stark approached Phyllis and convinced her to be his partner during a particularly vulnerable time. Phyllis felt alone and abandoned by everyone.
She was on the outs with her children who were cutting her out of their lives. She had lost both of her recent jobs. Phyllis placed the blame for all of this directly at the feet of Diane. She thinks that Diane is responsible for everything going wrong in her life.
Because she was so alone and had nothing else to live for, she decides to join Stark in a plan to frame Diane. This plan though means that Phyllis has to “die”. She didn’t really contemplate how hard it would be to be separated from her friends and family, even if they aren’t getting along.
After the “death”, Stark feels concerned because he can sense that Phyllis is not all in. She doesn’t have a place chosen to restart her life. She hasn’t bought a ticket. She’s just stuck in the hotel, but she needs to get out of town, particularly since her obituary has been published.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Foolish Move
Fascinated by the news of her memorial service, Phyllis buys an outfit that matches the caterers for the event. She also buys a wig. She attends her own memorial service as one of the staff. She sees what people stand up to speak and she hears what they have to say.
Some of the speeches appear to move her while some seem to amuse and fascinate her. Interestingly enough, for someone who “lived for her kids” and “loves them so much”, she doesn’t seem to be in anguish for causing her children grief.
They are sad and distressed, but that does not seem to both her too much. In fact, she may think that this is deserving pay back for their recent treatment of her.
This is a dangerous move and one that will definitely anger Stark. Will anyone recognize Phyllis? Or is everyone so overwhelmed by grief and their certainty that she is dead, that they will not recognize her? What do you think? Share your thoughts below in the comment box.
