‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) has a lot of secrets and history that hasn’t been discovered yet, and with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) beginning his dive into his background, secrets are bound to start popping up.

Most notably, Ashland got a call today and told Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about his early career where he was taught under the leadership of an older woman and gained his first company from her. Some fans are beginning to think that there has to be some connection, and Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) name was brought up in several comments.

Fans want Ashland to have some kind of connection to the legacies of Genoa City and this seems like one of the best ways. While it may take some “rewriting” of history, could this be the connection that we’ve been looking for, and what would it mean to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)?

Viewers commented on the theory, “How about Victor’s mother? That would make them half brothers. Victoria would be his niece. ?, “That would be interesting”, “I thought the same thing”, “That would really be something!”, “That’s what I thought or Jill or could it be Katherine Chancellor.” and “Ashland told Victoria that it was never serious with this older woman. We will see what happens tomorrow.”

There are a ton of possibilities and while Dina just passed recently, they might already be changing the timeline or rewriting it so it works. Of course, like some viewers wrote, there’s always women like Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) that could make interesting possibilities.

What do you think? Do you think there could be some connection to one of these powerful women of Genoa City or are we reading too much into it? Let us know in the comments below.
