There’s been a cloud of mystery around Claire Grace (Hayley Erin Feil) since she arrived in Genoa City, and now that she made her move by kidnapping Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), we’re moving closer to learning the truth.
With so many rumors and possibilities floating around, she could be anyone and related to anyone, and with all the enemies Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) have made over the years, there’s a long list to pick from.
But what if she’s family?
She seems intent on hating Nikki and Nikki alone, at least for now, so that could be the key to unlocking this mystery.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Daddy’s girl
For this one, we’re going to have to travel way back to Nikki’s early days in Genoa City when her sister was still a regular on the show. Yes, the same older sister Nikki’s supposed to be visiting.
Casey Reed (Roberta Leighton) has returned here and there over the years with her last time being in 1998, but she’s been mentioned here and there.
The link that could be Claire’s undoing is their abusive father, Nick Reed (Quinn Redeker). Nikki killed him in self defense when he tried to rape her when drunk, and it was revealed previously that he had raped Casey as well.
This is where things could get really interesting and really fun.

Just because a character’s dead on this show doesn’t mean they don’t have long reaching revenge methods, and ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think that’s the possibility here.
Since Nick was such a bastard to rape his own daughters and Nikki’s mother was already passed away by the time of his death, there’s a chance he raped other women as well. Or maybe he simply had a relationship with some? Like one in particular?
This would mean that Claire is most likely the daughter of someone Nick cared about and who cared about him, and since his death Claire could have been taught to hate Nikki for taking away her father.
This would explain her need to want Nikki to see everyone that’s going to gather there before she’s told what’s going on.
Of course, the main issue is age since we assume Claire’s the same age as the actress, 29, but that kind of thing never bothered anyone in these shows before. We’re sure they’ll be some reason given or they’ll make her older to fit better.
