‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that what started out as a way to stay out of jail may be taking a very real mental toll on Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), or was she crazy to begin with?

While being visited by her best friend Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Chelsea told her she was “pretending to be normal”, so she can get out of where she’s being held.

You’re right, you are pretending. Chelsea belongs to be where she is, and not just for poisoning Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and that whole crazy storyline, but because she may be legitimately crazy! Even her best friend isn’t buying it!

“Right, but, are you?” is all Chloe could ask Chelsea explaining that she’s better and acting normal. “Are you normal, or are you ACTING normal?” Well, Chloe, she’s acting. Acting normal is the best she can do, as the crap that she’s pulled, she probably won’t ever be normal. Much like her other half, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

While it looks like they won’t be a match anymore, it feels like Adam truly cares about Chelsea and what happens to her. However, Chelsea clearly doesn’t feel that way and blames Adam for everything.

I think Chelsea is 100% just “acting normal” and doesn’t truly understand what it means to just be normal anymore. She’ll likely be in there for much longer or make a daring escape.

What do you think? Do you think Chelsea is too far gone and going crazy or is this just a way for her to get out so she can get on with her life? Let us know in the comments below.
