‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may finally be ready to move on. He has posed an option to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) which suggests that he may be ready for something new.
‘The Young and Restless’ Spoilers: Difficult Split
Chance and Abby, also known as ‘Chabby’, had a difficult drama-filled marriage. They had trouble with starting a family. Chance was unable to have children and so Devon donated his sperm so that they could conceive. This situation was a strain on their marriage.
Chance’s difficult job was also a strain on their marriage. He was on an undercover mission that left him presumed dead. When he returned there was great joy, but these challenging work situations left him with serious PTSD. That was also hard for the couple.
While it is not excusable, these strains let Abby to find support and care in the arms of Devon. Chance ends up walking in on Devon and Abby together. This is the traumatic end of their marriage.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: New Path
Since their breakup, Chance has kind of been a lost soul. There have been some teasers that suggest he may connect with someone else, but nothing has yet come to pass. He has been pouring himself completely into his work.
Abby has moved in with Devon and they share custody of Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (River & Rainn Ware) with Chance. They have been civil and have been able to parent Dom well. However, Chance arrives with a proposition.
He said that Dom has been emotional and fussy when he first gets to Chance’s place. The moving between two places seems to be requiring a lot of adjustment. He doesn’t want that for Dom anymore. He wants stability.
He suggests to Devon and Abby that they move out of their place and into the Chancellor mansion. He will move out and get his own small apartment. Then he can spend time with Dom at the mansion and Dom doesn’t have to move between homes.
The downside of this is that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) stay there when they are in town and the don’t like Abby because of what happened.
It seems like Chance is ready to move on now with his life. This may be a step he needs to take to put the marriage behind him. What do you think? Will Devon and Abby move? Will Chance find a new love?
