‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers have been curious as to whether Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is up to something nefarious with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) or not, and we’re still curious.
As storylines go, this is one of the more interesting ones of late mainly because the threat isn’t an outsider, but someone that’s loved and trusted by many characters and the fans.
Since he arrived in Genoa City, Tucker has been labeled as an evil spawn that will stop at nothing to destroy and take over everything.
While that is true to a point, lately we’ve gotten to see a different side to him and now he could be the hunted.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Role reversal
For the longest time, Tucker was chasing Ashley, doing everything he could to prove himself to her and meeting all of her demands and requirements before they were married.
And then the wheels came off.
We were fed two versions of the story, in Ashley’s Tucker became violent and in his he wasn’t and we only found out recently that his version is the right one.
Of course, it came after he’s attempted to move on from Ashley with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Ashley’s having none of it.
While it’s good she knows what happened and has accepted it, she suffered a mental break along the way and she’s shown just how isolating it can be.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Ashley could go either way
While her family has offered her all the help and support possible, she’s wanted to prove she could handle this after she insisted she’d be fine when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) worried about her mental health being twisted by Tucker.
While Jack had reason to worry, it wasn’t so much Tucker that did the twisting but Ashley’s own loyalties. Or so it appears.
She can’t leave the Abbotts like Tucker wants, which means he’d have to stay and no one but her wants that.
What’s got ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers thinking is now that she’s fixated on Tucker to the point it’s an obsession, what lengths will she go to get him?
There’s every possibility that she’s going to continue pushing people away, claiming she’s fine until it’s obvious she’s not, but until then Tucker could be in real danger. So could Audra.
This is an interesting Fatal Attraction angle if that’s what the writers are doing, and we hope they follow through and not muck up the climax like they’ve done for years now.
