The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Ashley Abbott might soon be making her way back to Genoa City. As a matter of fact, many different media outlets have reported that actress Eileen Davidson was spotted on the set of the hit CBS show, prompting fans to speculate about her status with the soap.

Earlier this year, Eileen made it pretty clear that she wanted to take a break from the daytime television world and focus a little more on her family and personal life at home. After all, between reality and daytime television and the several projects that she’s been juggling, she’s been doing many things at once! But now that she’s been spotted in and around the set of The Young and the Restless, a lot of fans can’t help but ask this same question: is Ashley coming home?

Back in January, Eileen told Soaps in Depth that she was open to the possibility of reprising her role, even if it meant she would be put on a recurring status. She told the publication, “I don’t know. I don’t have anything against it. I never did. I did tell them when I was leaving that I wasn’t able to be there on a consistent basis in the near future. If they had to recast, they should do that. I don’t hate anybody. I’d be happy to do a little story arc, should they need me.”
Seeing how controversial executive producer and head writer Mal Young is out the door, it does look like a lot of fan favorites are looking to come back. So far Eileen herself has not made any additional comments, nor has she posted any hints about a return on social media. We will definitely keep an eye out, though! After all, Eileen has always been one of our favorites!
