Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘Young and the Restless'(Y&R) head writer Josh Griffith admits that while Phyllis didn’t have the best year on record for 2019, things are about to change for her. And yes, they will be positive changes, too. She’s been used and gone through the wringer so many times that fans have lost count but now it’s Phyllis’ time to turn the tables on everyone else. Watch out, Newmans!

He told the publication in a new interview, “The new year may present Phyllis with some romance as she sets her sights on Genoa City’s most eligible bachelors. At the same time, Phyllis will continue to fight her way back into the Grand Phoenix and perhaps take down Abby in the process.”
With that said, one can only wonder who this eligible bachelor is. Seeing how Phyllis and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) have been getting along very well lately, it could always be him. That, or perhaps a new face in the future. Also, we have a feeling that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will be giving her a good run for her money, too. Of course, fans will have to tune in for all of the action!
