‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that everything is on the up-and-up for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) right now. Everything in his life is going very well and that’s a definite change for the brooding brother. The question is, how long will it last?

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Lack of Opposition

Y&R’s Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has the greatest opportunity to start out on a good footing at Newman Enterprises. His two strongest and most vocal opponents are not around.

Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas), CEO of Newman Media, is in a battle for her sobriety. This was brought about by the crazy Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) who was trying to get back at the Newmans for their treatment of her sister, Eve Howard (Margaret Mason). She kidnapped Nikki and pushed her off the wagon, helping her develop a need for vodka again.

Adam’s other vehement opponent is Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). She is on a leave of absence from Newman Enterprises because she is working out what to do about her newly discovered daughter, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).

Since both Nikki and Victoria are away from their leadership roles for the most part and are absorbed with their own personal crises, no one is staunchly opposing Adam’s return to the Newman fold. This should make things a lot easier for Adam and won’t make him feel as defensive.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Support

Y&R’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has always had a soft spot for Adam. Victor has given Adam so many opportunities, but Adam resented his father’s interference in his life. He also felt some entitlement and would often clash with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria. Victor wants this to work and made the daring decision to make his sons partner CEOs of Newman Enterprises.

For his part, Nick Newman is going to try to work with his brother. Even though Adam stole his girlfriend away, Nick seems to be putting that behind him. He still believes that Adam can’t continue this positive path long term. He expects that Adam will disappoint him and Victor at some point, but he’s willing to give Adam another chance.

What do you think? Is this going to keep going well for Adam or will he sabotage it? What will happen when Victoria and Nikki return?
