Diane and Phyllis’s love triangle with Jack Abbot (Peter Bergman) was epic. Interestingly, Diane started the whole mess by stealing what she believed was Victor’s sperm, but it was Jack’s sperm.
The result was their son, Kyle Abbot. Diane is also guilty of framing Phyllis for burning down Jack’s house to make it look like Phyllis wanted her dead.
Diane and Phyllis sparred for years until Diane faked her death. She was later found alive, much to the chagrin of almost everyone in Genoa City.
Phyllis was one of the people who were most unhappy about Diane’s return to Genoa City. Phyllis and Diane fought every chance they got, and Jack was on Phyllis’s side at the time.
The sparring continued and reached a boiling point when Diane choked Phyllis one night at the Athletic Club.
Karma is notorious for coming back around, as Phyllis faked her death and set up Diane to take the fall. The fireworks occurred when Phyllis returned after her whole family believed she was dead. Diane achieved her dreams when she finally won Jack’s heart.
Phyllis and Diane have been at each other’s throats for an eternity. But let’s be honest. Phyllis calling out Diane for being toxic is like the pot calling the kettle black and vice versa.
They say, “Two great minds think alike,” on The Young & the Restless, like-mindedness is evident between arch-enemies Phyllis and Diane.

Phyllis and Diane both love their respective children. Phyllis loves Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), and Diane would do anything for Kyle Abbot (Michael Mealor).
The marriage between Kyle and Summer is unraveling, and Phyllis and Diane have a hand in the couple’s misfortune with their endless feud.
Prepare for the bombshell if Phyllis and Diane team up to get Kyle and Summer back together.
Granted, Kyle repeatedly slept with resident tart Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) after Summer lied to him about Phyllis being alive, but he still loves his soon-to-be ex-wife and would take her back if his pride and ego weren’t in the way.
That’s where Phyllis and Diane come into play. The two of them are really good at getting their own way when they are determined.
Diane can enlist Phillis to frame Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for a crime, and Kyle can take over at Jabot and return to work with Jack. That’s what Diane has been pushing for.
Summer and Kyle once made great business partners and could do it again. They could work together at Marchetti and become close again.
The two of them may figure out that neither one of them really wants to get divorced after all. However, Summer may need some time to forgive Kyle for his indiscretions with Audra.
