‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with revelations and lies.
So Friday, August 23 is basically a typical day in Genoa City.
Chealsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will come clean with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). He already figured it out, but hearing it come from her will destroy him.
As for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), he’ll lie when Sally Spectra (Courtney Love) asks him. But since her and Billy are talking and Chelsea came clean, we doubt this will end well.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) still isn’t taking her medication as Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) is still hanging around.
He’s trying to help her, rather her subconscious is. We think this is why she may not be taking her meds.
We’ve got the popcorn ready, so let’s dive in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Friday, August 23: Billy loses it and Adam digs deeper
Adam has found a way to sabotage himself like never before. And all because he’s afraid he’ll lose the woman he loves.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers understand his fear, but there’s a chance Sally might’ve eventually understood.
Granted, it’s very small but he could argue it was extraordinary circumstances.
But now that he lied and said he didn’t sleep with Chelsea, things are going to blow up big time.
Especially since Chelsea came clean with Billy and she’ll let Adam know.
As for how Billy will take it, we doubt it’ll be well received.
He suspected and knew, but hearing Chelsea tell him will be a heavy blow. We expect he’ll take some time to take it in and he’ll feel like everyone’s turning on him.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Friday, August 23: Sharon Keeps Summoning Cameron
Things are getting interesting with Sharon as the writers are dragging out yet another mental health storyline.
Fans aren’t happy with the constant hammering, but this one seems to have an ulterior motive.
Most storylines about mental health are to draw focus to a disease or problem. Treatment is sought and the person gets the help they need.
This one feels like it’s sole existence is to find a way to bring Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) together again.
It was teased prior to this, and Cameron will be a constant reminder to Sharon. He’ll continue needling her about Nick, her mistakes, and how he’s always her white knight.
If that’s the purpose of this one, we’re disappointed but we have hope the writers will draw more light to the illness.
Will Sally forgive Adam when she learns he lied to her? Let us know in the comments below.
