‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’ve got some fun spoilery goodies to share.
Things are going to get interesting on Thursday, August 22.
For starters, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be involved in a couple storyline altering conversations.
He and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will get into it with Adam telling him he’s lucky to have Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for a father. Kyle really should listen to him.
Then, he’ll basically tell Jack that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is behind Glissade and that he will do everything he can to protect Jack.
He’ll also be the target of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) demanding to know if he cheated.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will admit to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) what she did.
We have plenty of popcorn and comfort food handy, so let’s dive in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Thursday, August 22: Adam’s got Jack’s back
Adam’s going to have a busy day with trading updates and insults with Kyle over who is more entitled.
There’s a chance for this to be a wake up call to Kyle, but ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers doubt that’ll happen.
It’ll set the stage nicely for Adam and Jack to meet, and after a pleasant exchange where Adam will offer advice that he should let Kyle fail. For some, that’s the only way they learn.
It’ll then turn to Glissade, and Adam will indirectly admit Victor’s behind it and wants to crush Jabot.
The why isn’t yet known, but it’ll verify things for Jack. Adam will even go so far as to tell him that he’ll protect him as much as he can.
Since he already told Victor he won’t attack Jack, we think he’ll keep his word.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Thursday, August 22: The truth comes out
Adam’s been busy and Sally will confront him to close out this episode, but now it’ll be Chelsea’s turn.
Billy won’t confront her, but her guilt will finally get the better of her and she’ll confess she betrayed him.
We don’t think she’ll go into details just yet, but she won’t need to. Billy’s instincts will be proven right and it’ll break his heart.
This will be a relationship that he didn’t destroy, but it could get him to rethink his position with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Will it make a difference? It’ll be interesting to see if it does or if he’ll feel doubly betrayed.
