‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has turned her attention away from her failed marriage and her sights set on someone new. The problem is that he has someone else on his arm, but Summer may recognize that she would make a much better match for him.

At this point in time, Chance has something going on with Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case). But Sharon is quite a bit older than him. While they have slept together once, they don’t seem to have serious boundaries set on their relationship either. They kind of both seem in it right now for a good time.
A relationship with Chance probably makes Sharon feel young and desirable again. Chance has just come out of a painful divorce to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and finally feels interest in pursuing a good time with someone.
Since Sharon was a confidant he could share his thoughts and feelings with as he went through that divorce, they were naturally drawn to one another.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Much More in Common
In actuality, Summer has a lot more in common with Chance. She is going through a tough divorce right now with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Losing her marriage has been rough for her. Her marriage crumbled because of the decisions her mother Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) made.
Chance’s marriage crumbled because of the decisions Abby made. Both of them have had to go through a pain that was not of their own making.
Summer is also a lot younger than Sharon. She is closer to Chance’s age. When Summer comes across Chance and Sharon in the park, she comments on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) going back to work with Sharon.
Nick is Summer’s father, and he was married to Sharon for quite some time. Summer mentions how great it will be for them to work together again, perhaps alluding to them possibly reconnecting. This would get her father away from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and would free up Chance for her.
