‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) latest shuffle could bring unintended consequences for the business tycoon.
He is used to having his children to whatever he says. He owns the business, and it is his way or the highway. But does his latest move put his position in jeopardy?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Move Without Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)
Victoria is Victor’s golden child. She is a savvy businesswoman, and she makes decisions that her father is most definitely proud of. He has entrusted her with the running of Newman Enterprises for the most part. In fact, it isn’t often that he interferes because does things just the way Daddy likes.
Interestingly enough, Victor decides to make some major moves in key leadership positions, and he does this while Victoria is away. He demotes Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), giving her the COO position at Newman Media.
He moves his wife, Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) from her co-CEO position at Newman Enterprises and makes her CEO of Newman Media. Then, he tells Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that he will take his mother’s place at Newman Enterprises.
This will put Nick and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) in close proximity and could result in some fireworks. Nick doesn’t trust Nate. Nick will now be Nate’s boss and that may be difficult for Nate to bear.
Victoria knows nothing of this. She is shocked when she returns and doesn’t understand why her father didn’t give her heads up. Is this move going to sour her towards her father and his role in the company?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Another Newman on the Warpath
When Victor made these moves, he also kicked Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) out of the family enterprise. While Nikki and Victoria are relieved by this and Nick supports it, Adam is definitely upset and frustrated. He may also be looking for a way to take down his father or at least challenge him in business.
What do you think? Did Victor make his situation precarious by making all of these changes? Are his children going to think it is time for him to step down and out of Newman Enterprises for good?
