‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers intimate that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may have left a breadcrumb hinting that Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) is the elusive Aristotle Dumas.

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Cane Was Last Seen On Y&R Six Years Ago

The mystery billionaire corporate shark is on everybody’s minds these days as he has the most powerful families in Genoa City quaking in their very expensive shoes.

Everyone from the Newmans to the Abbotts wants to know who this fan of “The Count of Monte Cristo” is and what his next move might be.

It also can’t be a coincidence that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) has Dumas on her radar as well. She’s been significantly interested in learning more about him after Victor Newman (Eric Braden) shared with her that the businessman investigated the Winters family.

Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) is another person Lily is investigating. He runs the companies Aristotle owns.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has been in contact with Dumas as he offered to help Billy reclaim Chancellor. In the April 2nd episode of Y&R, Billy met with his brother, Jack, and asked him about Dumas.

Jack told Billy that Dumas came into the business world about five or six years ago, which is the last time Cane Ashby was seen in Genoa City.

Cane is a well-known schemer, and it’s highly possible that he’s a major player in the business world, especially if his business practices are below board.

Perhaps Cane created this Aristotle Dumas persona when he left town in 2019. Longtime viewers will know that Colin Atkinson (Tristian Rogers) ran a scam. Atkinson made it appear as though Cane was the rightful heir of the late Katharine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) fortune.

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Daniel Goddard Teased Huge Upcoming Announcement On Social Media

Colin stole the money and skipped town. Cane searched for Colin, who was ultimately arrested and deported back to Australia.

Cane enjoyed being wealthy and decided he wanted to try his hand in the corporate world. It may soon be revealed that Cane is really Dumas and now has this massive empire.

It’s also interesting that Aristotle is teaming up with Billy to take down Victor. Cane is the former CEO of Chancellor and has had experience with Victor over business matters.

Daniel Goddard recently took to social media to hint at a huge upcoming announcement. This led to speculation that he’s making a triumphant Y&R comeback.

It would also make sense from a storyline standpoint, considering Cane is Lily’s ex-husband, and it would be very soapy to have a triangle between Lily, Cane, and Damian, who is obviously smitten with Lily.

Meanwhile, there is also heavy speculation that Aristotle Dumas will be played by outgoing Days of Our Lives actor Billy Flynn, who is set to join the Y&R canvas soon.

Or, Flynn will play the son of Dumas, whose father, Aristotle, left him everything when he passed away. This makes more sense, considering that Flynn is a relatively young guy. He isn’t old enough to have the same business acumen as Victor Newman or Jack Abbott. We’ll have to wait and see which theory proves true. The reveal will surely be an exciting one.
